2024 Cleves Time Trial Series


The Cleves time Trial Series has been running since 1974 with over 2000 local participants. Did you know? While the Cleves Time Trial Series has been running since 1974, you may be wondering if there were any QCW time trials BC? You know, before Cleves?

When

Every Tuesday from the beginning of May through the end of September. Start time is 7:00 pm. 

Who

The time trial is open to all types of riders, licensed or unlicensed, riding most types of bicycles..

Registration

ALL participants must be current members of Queen City Wheels. Please visit bikereg.com to join and sign the Release Waiver (mandatory).

Details may be altered to adhere to Covid-19 protocols.

  • You must arrive by 6:30 to check in at the starting line area..

  • The first rider starts at 7PM. The remaining riders start at 30 second intervals.

  • A time trial is an individual race against the clock. Do not draft riders when passing. Do not draft someone who has passed you.

  • Times are announced immediately after the event.

  • All bicycle types and riders are welcome. (time trial bicycles, road bikes, tandems, recumbents etc.)

  • Since this is a club event, all QCW members race for free.

  • Ride rain or shine, but probably not tornadoes. Very rarely is a night canceled. Cancelation decisions are made onsite and not announced ahead of time.

  • There are no restroom facilities available at the start or finish.

Course

The 10.2 mile course is on a lightly traveled road with smooth to semi-rough pavement. It begins with small rolling hills, transitions to a flat section and finishes atop one last hill.

Directions

From downtown Cincinnati travel west on US-50. Turn right on Miami Avenue in Cleves and proceed about 200 meters to Brower Road. Turn left on Brower Road and proceed about 500 meters to the finish & parking areas located at the intersection of Cliff and Brower roads just down the hill from the William Henry Harrison Tomb State Memorial.

Parking

There is absolutely no parking anywhere near the start line. Please park at the finish line and ride your bike over to the start. Riding the course backwards is an excellent warm-up or use the map below for shorter routes to the finish line. It’s less than one mile away.

Rules

Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want some stranger doing in your front own yard. QCW has successfully used this course since 1974, we do not intend to lose access to this route because of your behavior. Anyone identified as having stressed the local residents will be banned from future participation.
