IMPORTANT: The schedule has changed! Due to very low participation numbers across OVCX in the Women Elite and Cat 3 wave, these categories have been moved into Wave 1 (11:00 AM), and Wave 3 has been eliminated. The subsequent waves have been moved forward in time.
NEW!!! Wave 7 – Four Rider Relay:
Open to teams made up of four riders who raced another category earlier in the day.
Teams will be given handicaps based on rider’s: Age, Gender, USAC License Category.
-
This will be a new wave to be conducted as the last race of the day. Teams of four riders will complete one lap each on a shortened course (U15 bypass will be used for all riders). Riders do not need to all be of the same club to compete as a team. This event will be free, however, all team members MUST have previously competed in one or more of the prior waves. (This is required for insurance coverage.) There will be scratch and net results. A team can only place in one of those categories, and will be placed into whichever category yields the highest placing. Teams consisting of only cat 1, 2, or 3 men, or cat 1 or 2 women, are only eligible for the scratch category. (Cat 3 men who are 50+ and cat 2 women who are 50+ can compete in the net division.)
Each rider will complete one lap. A different rider must do each lap – no rider can do multiple laps for their team.
Teams can start their riders in any order they choose.
Riders must touch hands when switching.
Time handicaps will be based on rider category, age, and sex, as outlined below. Each individual handicap will be added together for the team total.
Teams that are composed of only cat 1, 2, 3 men and/or cat 1, 2 women (any age) are not eligible for the net category.
There are no prizes other than podium pictures.
This event is purely for fun! “Don’t get dead”! - Jerry Hayes
